Sexting Pros and Cons

File:Texting.jpg
Sexting is the act of sending sexually explicit messages or photographs, primarily between mobile phones. The term was first popularized in early 21st century, and is a portmanteau of sex and texting, where the latter is meant in the wide sense of sending a text possibly with images.

A social danger with sexting is that material can be very easily and widely propagated, over which the originator has no control.

According to a survey Males and females are equally as likely to text nude images of themselves. Sexting without forethought is like sex without foreplay — not likely to result in mutual satisfaction. Heed these sexting tips before you hit “send.”

As a general rule, men are more aroused by images, while women are more turned on by words.

The following Tips help you to master the art of SEXTING.

Step 1: Understand the risks

Understand the risks of sending sexually explicit text messages or photos via cellphone, aka “sexting.” Once you hit “send,” your message is out there for good, with no guarantee it will remain between you and the recipient. So weigh the pros and cons carefully before you engage in this mode of communication.

Step 2: Don't have premature sext

Consider your relationship with the intended recipient and whether sexting would be appropriate — and legal. If you’re not already sexually intimate, instigating via cellphone can be risky.

Step 3: Know the recipient

Know the recipient’s tastes and tendencies. Would they welcome a sext from you? How racy are they? Keep in mind that, as with any communication that doesn’t include face-to-face interaction, messages can be misconstrued.

Step 4: Don't drink and sext

Need we say it? Don’t sext when your inhibitions are lowered by alcohol, fatigue, heartbreak, or anything else. Always sext with a clear head and heart.

Step 5: Err on the side of subtlety

Err on the side of subtlety. You can always get more graphic if your sexts are well received; you’ll have a harder time recovering from sending a message the receiver finds offensive. Now that you know the ground rules, go and have good sext!
